Abbreviations
Ch - chain
Sl - slip stitch
Sc - single crochet
Dc - double crochet
Tr - treble crochet
HDc - half double crochet
INC - increase
INVDEC - invisible decrease
BLO - back loops only
FLO - front loops only
All amigurumi toys
are crocheted with
tight stitches. Avoid
small holes when
stretching crochet
fabric, if there are
some tiny holes,
use a smaller size
hook. To avoid
seams, all details
are crocheted in a
spiral without slip
stitch and lifting
loops. There is a
chance that you
will lose the
beginning of the
row; to avoid this,
use a marker. It can
be a colored pin or
thread of contrasting
color.
Tip 1
The toy must be
crocheted with tight
stitches, to be sure that
there won't be any holes through which stung material can be seen.
Tip 2
To keep track of
the beginning of the
row, use a marker. Pin
marker to the last loop of the row. Every new row must be fnished with a loop at the marker.

When the carcass is ready, insert
it into the stalk so that the top
part of the carcass sticks 1.5 cm
out of the stalk. If the carcass is
a little too big - crochet the stalk
to the end of the ring stand. If it's
a little too small - remove a few
loops. Take some soft wire, fold it a
few times and curl it up to
make it more rigid. Make a ring
stand, cut the extra wire. Bend
the stalk a little.

16
Assembly
Inserting the crochet into the
ring and grabbing the yarn,
crochet around the ring with
single crochet stitches.
Place the loops tight to each
other to hide the wire.

Image 53
Image 52
Image 55

The only thing left is to hide
the wire under the stalk. Continue crocheting around
the ring, until all the wire is
hidden.
17
Assembly
Cut the yarn, leave a long end
for sewing. Sew the carcass’
loops to the ring stand with a
needle, hiding the wire.
When all the carcass is hidden,
cut the yarn, hiding the end of
yarn inside the stalk.

of the small spike, insert the pointy
end of the carcass through the head,
reaching the tongue. Sew the stalk to
the head with the yarn of the matching
color. Fasten and cut the yarn, hiding
the end inside the head.Sew smaller leaves all around the
stalk with the ends of the yarn that
